THE INSPIRATION
A dry heat, almost sacred. Scorching stones, the sun at its zenith, and in the air, a vibration of herbs, blazing citrus, and ancient resins. Kyphenzé is born from this tension between raw light and buried mystery: the evocation of a forgotten ritual, between ancient Mediterranean and Oriental reverie. It is not about reconstructing the past, but exhuming its aura to feed a contemporary gesture — imposing, fascinating, luminous.
THE FRAGRANCE
Citrus Rex. A citrus with authority.
The opening grips: an accord of sharp, juicy, bright citrus — almost incandescent. What follows imposes an unexpected verticality: spices, sages, and liatrix sculpt the material. At the base, a rare resin — sandarac — exhales a golden, balsamic, mineral breath. The fragrance anchors, extends, asserts itself. It doesn’t just pass by, it reigns.
THE NAME
Kyphenzé: a portmanteau, a world-word.
It evokes both a timeless elsewhere (kyphi, the sacred incense of ancient Egypt), and a modernity freed from its roots. It is a creation of meaning, a name without ties, but full of echoes. In the wake of Kyphenzé, one senses the shadow of a temple, fire, lemon trees, the surge of solar pleasure. A name that asserts its singularity without explanation. Like a seal. Like a spell.
