13.2 MÉTAROSME
Theme 13: Rose(s)
Floral Mineral and Spicy
The Mineral Radiance of an Androgynous Rose
THE INSPIRATION
A signature speciality from Maison PIERRE GUILLAULME PARIS: Obsidial®, a floral volumising agent inspired by the distinctive scent of Volvic stone warmed by the sun after rain.
An abstract rose, captured at the moment when it detaches itself from its floral nature to become pure matter. Between the mineral warmth of Obsidial and the balsamic/ambergris aura of Grisalva, a flower is transformed: neither vegetal nor carnal, but elemental. The accord becomes a symbol — the metamorphosis of an emotion into matter, of a colour into vibration.
THE PERFUME
The indefinable and diffuse mineral warmth of Obsidial® vibrates to the woody pulse of redwood. The floral heart, dominated by rose, fades into a dense white light where Grisalva acts as a salty reverberation, while Obsidial, in the background, provides the necessary tension: a complex watery and spicy note that runs through the whole like a wave. A fragrance of elevation and balance, neither cold nor warm — stable like a shape, moving like a wave.
THE NAME
Métarosme is a portmanteau of metamorphosis, rose and osmosis. It evokes the slow transformation of a living form into spiritual matter: the rose becoming architecture. Within the Collection Numéraire, 13.2 Métarosme follows Brûlure de Rose and La Nymphe et le Poète as the synthesis of their opposites: the rose loses its flesh to gain light.
